Working at Five Mile Farm

Five Mile Farm is a seasonal garden center and greenhouse in Boise that begins growing plants in February and typically closes by the end of June. Our spring season is fast-paced, rewarding, and a lot of fun for people who enjoy working with plants and helping customers.

 

We work hard to provide excellent plants and outstanding customer service to gardeners across the Treasure Valley. Our team works together to keep the greenhouse stocked, healthy, and welcoming for customers.

 

Job responsibilities may include:

 

  • Planting and transplanting

  • Watering plants

  • Stocking and organizing plant tables

  • Assisting customers

  • Retail sales

 

Previous horticulture experience or a green thumb is a plus, but not required.

Job Requirements

Applicants must:

 

  • Be at least 15 years old

  • Be able to lift at least 20 lbs

  • Be able to stand and work on their feet for extended periods

  • Be available to work some weekend days from April through May

  • Authorize Five Mile Farm to potentially perform a background check
